Hey loves! Hope you’re enjoying this lovely day. If you’re anything like me, sometimes you get worried about your natural hair growth and especially those nape and edges! It’s no easy task keeping them in check, but if we want long lush flowing hair, we gotta make sure our edges are right.
Today I bring to you some of the best sources on regrowing your edges. In addition to my TBCH Challenge, I am going to dedicate some sincere love and time to just my edges and nape. I highly despise feeling knotted napes and seeing broken hairlines…mine isn’t there at that stage, thank God, but better is prevention than cure right? Well here are a few tips and resources to help you if you are also interested in growing your nape and hairline areas long and strong with simple and effective hair tips.
Repair the thin edges
As you can see, KinkyStyles1980 shows us a way she uses to grow in her edges. It might be frowned upon to leave your edges out while doing a protective style due to the popular Black Culture aesthetics, but, if it actually helps (and it does), then why not? Less tension and pulling on the edges will always yield good results.
Grow your nape area long!
You can see that by using a consistent regimen, not only have her edges grown in tremendously, but also her nape area, aka the dreaded kitchen area.
Each of us can have longer, stronger and less prone to breakage hair if we care for it, love it, and do right by it-protect it and be diligent with our habits (good ones that is).
Here’s another video, this one is by Jenell, as she shares what she does to regrow her edges that were beginning to thin/break/shed.
Save the kitchen!
Overall, if you want to see a vast improvement in your nape area and your hairline, you will need to be very very gentle with it and give those areas some real attention and care.
