  1. With me, I never thought I would go back to my natural texture. I was happy with my relaxer even though it burned me, split my hair, and was boring. I have three daughters, 13, 12, 6 and a curly hair son age 9 they are all natural my two oldest daughters have bsl hair and my baby girl apl. My son is just starting out. Getting ready for the church anniversary, I got a perm, nothing unusual. Got it curled nice and I was happy. I was bsl at the time. This was last year July. Burned my hair to apl in the middle the back barley touched my neck. What was so differnt this time. The beautician said I had a bad batch. I cried. My husband said babe you know I’ve been telling you go back to how God created you. That sounded so weird cause I didn’t know what my hair looked like. I started doing research and saw the different sites, the meet ups, the products, the support. I can never forget my daughter over heard me talking about what am I go do, they came in the room and said,” mom, don’t you like our hair?” I told them I love your hair. My 6 year old said,” then why don’t you wanna look like us?” I was speechless. I couldn’t find a answer. It’s not that I didn’t want to, I wasn’t use to it and didn’t know how to get back there or understand. So after more research I started transitioning. My hubby and children were and are so supportive. I big chopped June 5 this year and I love my hair my texture and the learning. The line that helps me is the curls line. It takes the guess work out of it. My hair is short but healthy, growing and I love it. My daughters love it because mommy looks like them and I’ve learned to properly take care of their curly hair also. I just appreciate the curly community and the curls line because it has been great for me and my babies.
